The University of Exeter is a public research university located in Exeter, Devon, England. It was founded and received its royal charter in 1955, although its predecessor institutions, such as the Royal Albert Memorial College, date back to 1900.
History
The University of Exeter has its origins in the Exeter School of Art and the Exeter School of Science, which were founded in 1855 and 1863 respectively. These institutions merged to form the Royal Albert Memorial College in 1900. In 1922, it became the University College of the South West of England. The institution was granted university status in 1955, becoming the University of Exeter.

Streatham Campus
The main campus, Streatham Campus, is located in Exeter and is known for its beautiful gardens and architecture. Notable buildings include the Washington Singer Building and the University of Exeter Forum.
St Luke's Campus
St Luke's Campus is also located in Exeter and is home to the university's medical school and the Graduate School of Education.
Penryn Campus
The Penryn Campus is located in Cornwall and is shared with Falmouth University. It focuses on subjects such as environmental science and renewable energy.
Academics
The University of Exeter offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines. It is organized into six academic colleges, including the College of Humanities, the College of Social Sciences and International Studies, and the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
