Georgetown Cupcake is a renowned cupcake bakery that originated in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Founded by sisters Katherine Kallinis Berman and Sophie Kallinis LaMontagne in 2008, Georgetown Cupcake has since expanded to multiple locations across the United States.

The idea for Georgetown Cupcake was conceived when Katherine and Sophie left their corporate jobs to pursue their passion for baking. They opened their first bakery in Georgetown, a historic neighborhood in Washington, D.C., in February 2008. The bakery quickly gained popularity due to its unique flavors and high-quality ingredients.
Expansion[edit]
Following the success of their first store, the sisters opened additional Georgetown Cupcake locations in Bethesda, Maryland, New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Each location offers a variety of cupcake flavors, including daily specials and seasonal favorites.
