Armenian Power (also known as AP, Armenian Mafia, or Armenian Mob) is an Armenian-American criminal organization and street gang that originated in Los Angeles, California. The gang is known for its involvement in various criminal activities, including drug trafficking, extortion, fraud, and murder.

History[edit]

Armenian Power was formed in the late 1980s by Armenian immigrants who settled in the Los Angeles area. The gang initially started as a means of protection against other ethnic gangs in the region. Over time, Armenian Power expanded its operations and became involved in more sophisticated criminal enterprises.

Criminal Activities[edit]

Armenian Power is involved in a wide range of criminal activities, including:

Drug trafficking: The gang is known to distribute various illegal drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin.
Extortion: Armenian Power has been involved in extorting local businesses, particularly those owned by Armenian-Americans.

Law enforcement agencies have made numerous efforts to dismantle Armenian Power. These efforts have included FBI investigations, RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) charges, and coordinated raids. Despite these efforts, the gang continues to be active.
