Plainview is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, on Long Island, in the U.S. state of New York.
History[edit]
Plainview's history dates back to 1695 when it was first settled by Robert Williams. The area was originally used for farming and remained largely agricultural until the post-World War II suburban expansion.
