Zanthoxylum asiaticum is a species of flowering plant in the family Rutaceae. It is native to parts of Asia, including regions in China, Japan, and Korea. This plant is known for its aromatic properties and is often used in traditional medicine and culinary applications.

Description

Zanthoxylum asiaticum is a deciduous shrub or small tree that can grow up to 3 meters in height. The plant has compound leaves with a distinctive aromatic scent. The leaves are pinnate, with 5-11 leaflets that are ovate to lanceolate in shape. The flowers are small, greenish-yellow, and typically bloom in clusters.
