Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was an NHS foundation trust which managed three hospitals in West Sussex, England. The trust was established on 1 April 2009 and provided healthcare services to a population of around 450,000 people. The trust's headquarters were located in Worthing.

Merger[edit]
In 2021, Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust merged with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust to form the University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.
Governance[edit]
The trust was governed by a board of directors, which included a chairman, non-executive directors, and executive directors. The board was responsible for setting the strategic direction of the trust and ensuring that it met its objectives.
