University of New Mexico
The University of New Mexico (UNM) is a public research university located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded in 1889, it is the flagship institution of higher education in the state of New Mexico.

The University of New Mexico was established in 1889 and opened its doors in 1892. It was founded by the Territorial Legislature of New Mexico to provide higher education opportunities to the residents of the territory.
