It is one of the leading medical universities in the country, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in medicine and related fields.

History

The University of Medicine, Taunggyi was established in 2005 as a branch of the University of Medicine 1, Yangon. It became an independent institution in 2013. The university is under the administration of the Ministry of Health and Sports.

Courses

The university offers a six-year MBBS program, as well as postgraduate degrees in various medical specialties. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the basic medical sciences and clinical skills.
