Think (/θɪŋk/), from the Old English þencan, is the process of considering or reasoning about something. It is a mental activity involving an individual's subjective consciousness. It can be a conscious or unconscious process.

The term think originates from the Old English word þencan, which is akin to Old High German denken to think, and Latin tongēre to know. It is believed to have first appeared before the 12th Century.
