The Simpsons is an American animated media franchise created by Matt Groening for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The franchise centers on a satirical depiction of a middle-class American family consisting of Homer Simpson, Marge Simpson, Bart Simpson, Lisa Simpson, and Maggie Simpson.
