History
The Taiwan Sugar Corporation was established in 1901 during the Japanese rule of Taiwan. It was initially known as the Taiwan Sugar Company and was responsible for the production and sale of sugar in Taiwan. After the end of World War II and the handover of Taiwan to the Republic of China, the company was nationalized and renamed the Taiwan Sugar Corporation.
