Steve's Prince of Steaks is a Philadelphia-based cheesesteak franchise that was established in 1980. The founder, Steve Iliescu, opened the first location in the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood. The franchise is known for its authentic Philadelphia cheesesteaks, which are made with thinly sliced ribeye steak and melted cheese on a fresh roll.

Steve Iliescu, a first-generation American of Romanian descent, founded Steve's Prince of Steaks in 1980. Iliescu's goal was to create a cheesesteak that was representative of the traditional Philadelphia style. The first location was opened in Northeast Philadelphia, and the franchise has since expanded to include multiple locations throughout the city.

The menu at Steve's Prince of Steaks primarily consists of cheesesteaks, but also includes other Philadelphia favorites such as hoagies and fries. The cheesesteaks are made with thinly sliced ribeye steak, which is cooked on a flat top grill and served on a fresh roll.
