Stanford Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium located on the campus of Stanford University in Stanford, California. It is primarily used for American football and serves as the home field for the Stanford Cardinal football team. The stadium has also hosted numerous other events, including soccer matches, concerts, and track and field competitions.

Stanford Stadium was originally built in 1921 with a seating capacity of 60,000. The stadium was constructed in a short period of just four months, using a design that featured a horseshoe shape. Over the years, the stadium has undergone several renovations and expansions to modernize its facilities and increase its seating capacity.

In 2005, Stanford Stadium underwent a major renovation that reduced its seating capacity to approximately 50,000 but significantly improved the overall fan experience. The renovation included the installation of new seating, improved sightlines, updated amenities, and enhanced accessibility features.
