Sher-e-Bangla Medical College (SBMC) is a government-sponsored medical school located in Barisal, Bangladesh. Established in 1969, it is named after A.K. Fazlul Huq, who was known by the title Sher-e-Bangla. The college is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and offers a five-year course of study leading to a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. A one-year internship after graduation is compulsory for all graduates. The campus is situated in the southern part of Barisal city.
