San Juan County, Utah
San Juan County is a county located in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Utah. As of the 2020 census, the population was 14,518. The county seat is Monticello, while the largest city is Blanding. The county was named for the San Juan River.
History
San Juan County was established in 1880. The area has a rich history, including significant Native American heritage, particularly from the Navajo Nation and Ute Tribe. The county has numerous archaeological sites and petroglyphs.
