The Pasteur Institute of Algeria (IPA: /pæˈstɜːr ɪnˈstɪtjuːt ɒv ælˈdʒɪəriə/) is a medical research facility located in Algeria. It is part of the international network of Pasteur Institutes, named after the renowned French scientist Louis Pasteur.

Etymology

The institute is named after Louis Pasteur, a French biologist, microbiologist, and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation, and pasteurization.
