Pascack Valley Medical Center was originally established in 1959 as Pascack Valley Hospital. The hospital faced financial difficulties and closed in 2007. In 2013, it reopened as Pascack Valley Medical Center through a partnership between Hackensack Meridian Health and LHP Hospital Group, Inc..
