Short definitionpalonosetron hydrochloride - (pronounced) (pa-loh-NOH-seh-tron HY-droh-KLOR-ide) drug used in adults and children from 1 month of age to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy and nausea and vomiting after surgery. Palonosetron hydrochloride blocks the effects of a chemical called serotonin, which attaches to certain nerves and can cause nausea and vomiting.
