Obesity in China (pronunciation: /oʊˈbiːsɪti ɪn ˈtʃaɪnə/) has become a significant health issue in the country. The term "obesity" originates from the Latin word "obesus", meaning "that has eaten itself fat". The term "China" is derived from the Persian word "Chin", which is from the Sanskrit word "Cina".

Definition
