Mpilo Central Hospital, more commonly known as Mpilo Hospital, is the largest hospital in Bulawayo, and the second largest in Zimbabwe after Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare. It serves as a referral center for the Matabeleland North, Matabeleland South, and Midlands provinces of Zimbabwe.
The hospital, which was founded in 1958, is a public hospital and offers tertiary referral services. It operates 24 hours a day and has a capacity of 1000 beds. Mpilo Hospital is affiliated with the National University of Science and Technology and the University of Zimbabwe.
Mpilo Hospital is home to a School of Nursing and a School of Midwifery, both located within the hospital campus.
