Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is a hospital located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is a part of the Cone Health network, a not-for-profit healthcare provider. The hospital was established in 1953 and named after Moses H. Cone, a prominent textile entrepreneur.

History

The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital was founded by Bertha Cone in memory of her husband, Moses H. Cone. The hospital opened its doors on February 26, 1953, with 310 beds. Over the years, the hospital has expanded to accommodate the growing healthcare needs of the Greensboro community.

Services

The hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, neurology, and emergency medicine. It also houses the region's only Level II Trauma Center.

Facilities

The hospital campus includes the main hospital building, the Women's Hospital, the Children's Hospital, and several outpatient clinics. The hospital also operates a helipad for emergency medical services.

Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital has received numerous awards and recognitions for its quality of care. It has been recognized by the Joint Commission for its excellence in stroke care and has received the Magnet Recognition for nursing excellence.
