Ivan Đikić (born 28 May 1966) is a Croatian-German molecular biologist and biochemist known for his research in the field of ubiquitin biology and cancer research. He is a professor at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the director of the Institute of Biochemistry II.

Early Life and Education

Ivan Đikić was born in Zagreb, Croatia. He completed his medical degree at the University of Zagreb in 1991. Following his graduation, he pursued a Ph.D. in molecular biology at the University of Zagreb and later at the New York University School of Medicine.

Career

Đikić began his postdoctoral research at the New York University School of Medicine under the mentorship of Joseph Schlessinger. In 2002, he moved to Germany to join the Goethe University Frankfurt, where he became a full professor and the director of the Institute of Biochemistry II.
