Hydro (/ˈhaɪdroʊ/; from Greek: ὕδωρ, "water") is a prefix used in many words to denote a relation to water.

The term "hydro" is derived from the ancient Greek word "ὕδωρ" (hýdōr), which means water. It is commonly used in the scientific and medical fields to denote a relation to water or the presence of water.
