Homeland Security Council
The Homeland Security Council (HSC) is a component of the Executive Office of the President of the United States that was created by Presidential Directive in October 2001 following the September 11 attacks. The HSC is tasked with advising the President of the United States on matters related to Homeland Security.

Etymology
