Haribo

History
Johannes "Hans" Riegel, Sr., a confectioner from Bonn, started the Haribo company in 1920. From the beginning, it was a small-scale confectionery business that grew over time. The company's breakthrough came in 1922 with the creation of the Gummy bear, a product that would become synonymous with the Haribo brand.
