Good Samaritan Hospital (Dayton) was a full-service hospital located in Dayton, Ohio. The hospital was owned and operated by Premier Health Partners, and it was closed in 2018.
History[edit]
Good Samaritan Hospital was founded in 1932 by the Sisters of Charity. The hospital was a part of the Catholic Health Initiatives until 2010 when it became a part of Premier Health Partners. The hospital was closed in 2018 due to financial reasons.
Services[edit]
Good Samaritan Hospital offered a wide range of medical services including emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, oncology, and maternity care. The hospital also had a Level III Trauma Center.
Closure[edit]
The closure of Good Samaritan Hospital in 2018 was met with controversy. Many community members were concerned about the loss of jobs and the impact on the local economy. There were also concerns about access to healthcare in the area.
