Georg Wolfgang Wedel

Georg Wolfgang Wedel (12 November 1645 – 6 September 1721) was a prominent German physician, chemist, and university professor known for his contributions to medicine and chemistry during the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Early Life and Education

Georg Wolfgang Wedel was born in Golßen, a small town in the Electorate of Saxony. He was the son of a Lutheran pastor, which influenced his early education and interest in the sciences.
