Food for the Hungry (FH) is a Christian international relief, development, and advocacy organization. Founded in 1971 by Dr. Larry Ward, the organization aims to end all forms of human poverty by providing life-changing development programs, disaster relief, and advocacy.

History

Food for the Hungry was established in 1971 in response to the global hunger crisis. Dr. Larry Ward, the founder, was motivated by the plight of starving children and sought to create an organization that would address the root causes of poverty and hunger. Over the years, FH has expanded its operations to include a wide range of development programs in over 20 countries.

Mission and Vision

The mission of Food for the Hungry is to walk with churches, leaders, and families in overcoming all forms of human poverty by living in healthy relationship with God and His creation. The vision of FH is to see all forms of human poverty ended worldwide.
