Short definitionbreast fibroglandular tissue - (FY-broh-GLAN-juh-ler brest TIH-shoo) A term used to describe breast tissue composed of fibrous connective tissue and glandular tissue (milk ducts and lobules). Fibroglandular breast tissue often appears dense on a mammogram, which can make it harder to find breast cancer or other breast changes
