Evdokia Anagnostou

Evdokia Anagnostou (pronunciation: ev-DOH-kee-uh an-ag-NOS-too) is a renowned pediatric neurologist and senior clinician scientist at the Bloorview Research Institute. She is also an associate professor at the University of Toronto's Department of Pediatrics.

Etymology

The name Evdokia is of Greek origin and means "good thought" or "good will". Anagnostou is also a Greek surname, derived from the Greek word "anagnostis" which means "reader".

Career

Evdokia Anagnostou's work primarily focuses on understanding the neurobiology of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and developing novel treatments. She is known for her research on the clinical application of translational medicine in neurodevelopmental disorders.

Anagnostou is also a co-lead of the Autism Research Centre at the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where she conducts clinical trials to investigate new treatments for ASD.
