EuroBioBank

EuroBioBank (pronounced: /ˈyʊəroʊbaɪoʊbæŋk/) is a network of biobanks dedicated to improving the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases. It was established in 2001 and is the first operating network of biobanks in Europe.

Etymology

The term "EuroBioBank" is a combination of "Euro", referring to Europe, and "BioBank", a term used to describe a repository that stores biological samples for use in research.

History
