Eric Goosby

Eric Goosby is an American physician and global health expert known for his work in HIV/AIDS treatment and policy. He has held several prominent positions in the field of public health and has been instrumental in shaping global health initiatives.

Eric Goosby was born in San Francisco, California. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He completed his residency in internal medicine at UCSF and later specialized in infectious diseases.

Goosby is perhaps best known for his role as the United States Global AIDS Coordinator, overseeing the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
