Donor Conceived Person

A Donor Conceived Person (pronunciation: /ˈdoʊnər kənˈsiːvd ˈpɜːrsən/) is an individual who was conceived through the use of a donor's sperm, egg, or embryo. This method of conception is often used by individuals or couples who are unable to conceive naturally due to infertility, same-sex couples, single parents, and others.

Etymology

The term "Donor Conceived Person" is derived from the words "donor", referring to the individual who donates their sperm, egg, or embryo, "conceived", the past participle of the verb "conceive" which means to become pregnant, and "person", referring to the individual who was conceived through this method.
