The Collingwood Football Club, nicknamed the Magpies, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club was established in 1892 and has since become one of the most popular and successful clubs in the Australian Football League (AFL).
History
The Collingwood Football Club was formed in 1892 and joined the Victorian Football Association (VFA) before becoming a founding member of the Victorian Football League (VFL) in 1897. The club quickly established itself as a powerhouse in the league, winning its first premiership in 1902.
