Cochrane Library (pronunciation: kohk-ran) is a collection of databases in medicine and other healthcare specialties provided by Cochrane and other organizations. Etymology
The Cochrane Library is named after Archie Cochrane, a British medical researcher who contributed significantly to the development of epidemiology as a science. His emphasis on randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews led to the establishment of the Cochrane Library.
