County in Utah, United States


Cache County is a county located in the northern part of the U.S. state of Utah. As of the 2020 census, the population was 133,154. The county seat and largest city is Logan. The county was formed in 1856 and was named for the fur stashes, or "caches," made by trappers.

History

Cache County was established in 1856, during the early settlement period of Utah. The area was originally inhabited by the Shoshone people. The first European settlers were Mormon pioneers who arrived in the mid-19th century. The county has a rich history of agriculture, education, and industry.
