It operates 30 hospitals and several specialized facilities across six states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, and Wyoming. Banner Health was founded in 1999 through the merger of Lutheran Health Systems and Samaritan Health System. The merger created one of the largest secular, non-profit healthcare organizations in the country.
