Ajman
Ajman (pronunciation: /ˈɑːdʒmən/; Arabic: عجمان 'Aǧmān) is one of the seven Emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is the smallest emirate by area, located on the Arabian Gulf, and is surrounded by the emirate of Sharjah. Ajman is also the name of the city that serves as the capital of the emirate.
Etymology
The origin of the name "Ajman" is not clearly known. Some sources suggest that the name could be related to the Arabic word "Ajm", which means "sheep", while others believe it could be derived from the term "Ajmaan", referring to a type of wild bull that was common in the region.
