Aglycone
Aglycone (also spelled aglycon) is a term used in chemistry and biochemistry to refer to the non-sugar part of a glycoside. Glycosides are molecules in which a sugar is bound to a non-sugar moiety, usually a small organic molecule. The sugar part is known as the glycone, while the non-sugar part is the aglycone.
