Etymology

The term "African" is derived from the Latin word "Africus" which refers to the continent of Africa. "Journal" comes from the Old French "jurnal", meaning daily. "Urology" is a compound of two Greek words: "ouron" meaning urine and "logos" meaning study. Thus, "urology" is the study of diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system.
