Academician (/əˌkædəˈmɪʃən/) is a term used to denote a full member of an Artistic, Scientific, or Literary academy. In many countries, it is the highest honorary title that can be awarded to a scientist, artist, or writer.

The term "Academician" is derived from the Latin word "Academia", which refers to a place of study or training. The "-ian" suffix is used to denote a person who is a member or part of something.
