Central State Hospital (Kentucky) is a psychiatric hospital located in Louisville, Kentucky. It was established in 1869 and is one of the oldest psychiatric hospitals in the state. Central State Hospital was originally known as the Fourth Kentucky Lunatic Asylum. It was established in 1869, making it one of the oldest psychiatric hospitals in Kentucky. The hospital was renamed Central State Hospital in 1912.
