Holy Cross Hospital (Silver Spring) is a hospital located in Silver Spring, Maryland, United States. It is the largest hospital in Montgomery County and the second largest in the state of Maryland. The hospital is part of the Trinity Health system and is a teaching hospital for the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

History[edit]

Holy Cross Hospital was established in 1963 by the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The hospital has grown significantly since its establishment, and now has a capacity of 448 beds. It is known for its neonatal intensive care unit, which is one of the largest in the country.

Services[edit]

The hospital offers a wide range of services, including emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, neurology, and obstetrics and gynecology. It also has a comprehensive cancer center and a stroke center.

Education[edit]

As a teaching hospital for the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Holy Cross Hospital provides education and training for medical students and residents. The hospital also offers a number of continuing medical education programs for practicing physicians.
