Butterfinger is a popular candy bar produced by the Ferrero company. It is known for its unique, crispety, crunchety, peanut-buttery texture and flavor.

History

The Butterfinger candy bar was first introduced by the Curtiss Candy Company in 1923. The name "Butterfinger" was the result of a public contest. The bar was marketed with the slogan "Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfinger," which became one of the most recognized slogans in advertising history.

Product Description

A Butterfinger bar consists of a crispy peanut butter core coated in milk chocolate. The core is made by mixing corn syrup, sugar, and peanut butter, then aerating the mixture to create its signature texture. The bar is then enrobed in a layer of milk chocolate.

Variations

Over the years, several variations of the Butterfinger bar have been introduced. These include Butterfinger BB's, Butterfinger Ice Cream Bars, and Butterfinger Crisp. Each variation offers a unique take on the original Butterfinger flavor and texture.

In Popular Culture

Butterfinger has been featured in various forms of media and pop culture. It was notably a favorite candy of the character Bart Simpson in the animated television show The Simpsons, and was featured in a series of commercials for the show.
