St. Charles Health System was founded in 1918 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Tipton, Indiana. The original hospital, St. Charles Medical Center, was established to meet the growing health care needs of the region. Over the years, the health system has expanded to include multiple facilities and a comprehensive range of services.
