The team was established in 1976 as an expansion team, along with the Seattle Seahawks.

History

The Buccaneers joined the NFL in 1976 as members of the AFC West division. After one season, they moved to the NFC Central division. The team struggled in its early years, losing its first 26 games. They won their second Super Bowl in the 2020 season, led by quarterback Tom Brady, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LV.
