Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi)
Doctor Light (Kimiyo Hoshi) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. She is the second character to use the Doctor Light name and is a superheroine. Created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez, she first appeared in Crisis on Infinite Earths #4 (July 1985).
Fictional character biography[edit]
Kimiyo Hoshi was a brilliant astronomer and physicist in Japan. During the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, she was struck by a beam of energy from a dying Monitor, which granted her the powers of Doctor Light. She used her newfound abilities to fight against the Anti-Monitor and assist the Justice League in saving the multiverse.
Powers and abilities[edit]
Doctor Light possesses the ability to manipulate light in various forms. She can generate and control light for a variety of effects, including creating constructs, generating blinding flashes, and firing powerful energy blasts. She can also fly by riding light waves and can turn herself invisible by bending light around her body.
