Pharmacology

Lonazolac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals that are produced by the body and cause inflammation and pain. By inhibiting the production of these chemicals, lonazolac can help to reduce inflammation and pain.

Clinical use

Lonazolac was developed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect more than just your joints. In some people, the condition can damage a wide variety of body systems, including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels.

Side effects

Like all NSAIDs, lonazolac can cause side effects. These can include stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, and dizziness. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
