LUMBAR/PELVIS/SACRAL syndrome

Pronounced LUM-bar/PEL-vus/SAY-krul SIN-drome, it is a rare congenital disorder marked by a hemangioma (a benign blood vessel tumor) that spreads across a large area of the lower back or genital area.

Other health problems that affect the urinary system, genitals, rectum, anus, brain, spinal cord, and nerve function may also occur.

Seen in infants[edit]

LUMBAR/PELVIC/SACRAL syndrome is most common in infants.
