USA Network (commonly referred to as USA) is an American basic cable and satellite television channel owned by the NBCUniversal Television and Streaming division of NBCUniversal, a subsidiary of Comcast. The channel was launched on September 22, 1977, and primarily broadcasts a variety of original and acquired programming, including drama, comedy, and sports.

History

USA Network was originally launched as the Madison Square Garden Network (not to be confused with the current MSG Network) on September 22, 1977. It was one of the first national cable television channels in the United States. The channel was rebranded as USA Network in 1980.

Programming

USA Network is known for its original programming, including popular series such as Monk, Psych, Burn Notice, Suits, and Mr. Robot. The network also airs reruns of current and former network television series, along with theatrically released feature films.

Sports
